Jakarta, January 2026 –
Closing the year 2025, Indonesia was struck by profound grief due to a state of emergency caused by natural disasters across several regions of Sumatra. Extreme rainfall triggered flash floods and landslides that paralyzed community activities in severely affected areas, including Southeast Aceh, South Aceh, Mandailing Natal (Madina), South Tapanuli, and Deli Serdang.
As a tangible expression of its commitment to actively engage in social and humanitarian aspects in Indonesia, PT Mitra Kencana Nusantara (MKN) swiftly extended its hand through its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, MKN Peduli.
As one of the leading aftermarket companies in the country, PT MKN prioritizes safety and recovery—not only for its extended corporate family but also for the wider community directly impacted by the disaster.
Synergy of Internal Aid and External Collaboration
The emergency response carried out under the MKN Peduli program encompasses three main pillars of assistance:
Employee Internal Aid: Providing material and logistical support to assist recovery efforts for PT MKN employees and their families affected by floods in the North Sumatra Branch Office area.
Strategic Partnership with BAZNAS: PT MKN partnered with the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) to channel humanitarian donations amounting to IDR 25,000,000 (Twenty-Five Million Rupiah) to help supply basic necessities for evacuees at key shelters.
Direct Clean Water Distribution with the Indonesian National Army (TNI): Recognizing the critical need for clean water post-disaster, PT MKN deployed a Humanitarian Expedition Team consisting of representatives from the North Sumatra Branch and the Central Marketing Team. In close cooperation with the Indonesian National Army (TNI), the team directly distributed 1,000 boxes of bottled drinking water (1.5 liters each) to isolated areas that were difficult to reach by conventional logistics.
This initiative reinforces PT MKN’s commitment not only to being a trusted business partner in the automotive industry but also a humanitarian ally responsive to social and economic recovery across Indonesia.
Through solidarity and synergy among various stakeholders, PT Mitra Kencana Nusantara hopes that the assistance provided will ease the burden of the victims and accelerate the restoration of infrastructure and community activities in Aceh and North Sumatra.
